Philip Favia, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who offers personalized one-on-one care for the whole family at Favia Primary Care.
At the offices in Algonquin and Crystal Lake, Illinois, Dr. Favia provides diagnostic testing services and customized treatment plans for a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. He also specializes in chronic disease management for children and adults.
Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Favia founded his private practice in 2018 after serving in an outpatient clinic. He earned a Top Doctor award from Chicago Magazine for his multidisciplinary approach to care. He values the time he spends with each patient during physical exams, sick visits, and diagnostic testing.
Dr. Favia also provides nonsurgical aesthetic services using advanced technologies, like Harmony XL Pro® by Alma™ for skin tightening and InMode’s Evolve for fat reduction, to help adults enhance their natural body contours and appearance.
Earning his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois, Dr. Favia went on to finish his family practice residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He spent time working in the emergency room at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Ohio. He also served as a volunteer teacher for other new doctors as a residency preceptor at Riverside Methodist Hospital’s family practice residency program.
